Delavan Art Gallery's current exhibition, "The Artistic Domain" was reviewed last Sunday by the Post-Standard's arts critic Katherine Rushworth. Unhappy with the review, Stone Canoe Editor Robert Colley published a letter to the editor which was in today's paper. The links to both are below. I have seen the show and have to agree with Katherine Rushworth's original assessment. I can understand Robert Colley's view. Just because Stone Canoe is a Syracuse University project, it does not mean it automatically deserves accolades. Perhaps they can readjust their perception of what is art in upstate NY. Better luck next year.
