I went to the "Talk-Back" session after the first screening of the Asian Shorts Film Fest on Sunday. It was a very productive discussion among the audience guided by the two hosts of the talk-back, radio host of Women's Voices Radio Nancy Keefe Rhodes and Redhouse Film Director JT Lee. The undercurrent of the discussion was that the film audience needs to express their interest to the media who are currently making cutbacks in their staff. The first thing to go is always the arts, and here in Syracuse the arts are getting bigger than ever. Representation and discussion in the media is very important.
